Kể từ ngày 20 tháng Ba cho đến 20 tháng Năm năm 2014, Viện Lưu trữ Quốc Gia (Archives Nationales) tổ chức cuộc triển lãm với tựa đề ‘‘Quan hệ Việt-Pháp qua bốn thế kỷ’’. Sau khi được trưng bày ở Hà Nội và Sài Gòn, nay cuộc triển lãm được đưa sang Paris, trong khuôn khổ chương trình Năm Việt Nam tại Pháp.
Cuộc triển lãm miễn phí của Viện Lưu trữ Quốc Gia Pháp với sự bảo trợ của Viện hàn lâm Khoa học Hải ngoại Pháp gồm hai phần : phần đầu là các đoạn video thu hình từ những tấm panneaux từng được trưng bày ở Hà Nội và Viện bảo tàng Mỹ thuật ở Sài Gòn. Phần thứ nhì có thể được xem như bổ sung cho phần đầu, gồm 150 bức ảnh chụp của những người Pháp từng đặt chân đến Việt Nam vào thế kỷ XIX.
Các nhà ‘‘nhiếp ảnh’’ Pháp, tiêu biểu nhất là Emile Gsell (1838-1879), Gustave Ernest Trumelet-Faber (1852-1916), Charles-Edouard Hocquard (1853-1911), Aurélien Pestel (1855-1897), Firmin-André Salles (1860-1929), Pierre Dieulefils (1862-1937) … đã thu vào ống kính những hình ảnh về Việt Nam dưới nhiều góc độ : danh lam thắng cảnh, nếp sống sinh hoạt, văn hóa xã hội, đất nước con người.
Chị Loan de Fontbrune là chuyên gia đặc trách việc tổ chức và điều hành cuộc triển lãm tại Paris. Chị đã từng làm việc với hai viện bảo tàng châu Á nổi tiếng của Paris là bảo tàng Guimet và bảo tàng Cernuschi. Lần này, chị có nhiệm vụ tuyển lựa 150 tấm ảnh chụp trong số hàng ngàn bức ảnh đầu tiên mà người Pháp đã thực hiện tại Việt Nam. Chị Loan de Fontbrune là khách mời của chương trình văn hóa hàng tuần của ban Việt ngữ RFI.

From 20 March until 20 May 2014, National Archives ( Archives Nationales ) organized an exhibition titled '' Vietnam - France relations over four centuries .'' After being exhibited in Hanoi and Saigon , this exhibition were taken to Paris , in the framework of the Year of France in Vietnam .
